Toy Story 5 Rehoming Project

Toy Story 5 Rehoming Project

In celebration of Toy Story 5 opening in cinemas June 18, Disney.Pixar has once again partnered with Save The Children and Reading Cinemas to encourage Australians to donate their quality, pre-loved toys.

The quality pre-loved toys people donated will go on a new adventure to help children in need all over Australia.  They will help Save The Children raise vital funds to support their life-changing work including Save The Children’s Play2Learn program – highlighting the importance of play for kids. For any toys received that might not be in the right condition for a new adventure, the team at TerraCycle will give the toys a new life by recycling them.

Head in to your local Reading Cinemas from June 12 to donate. Toy donation boxes will be in place until July 16.

Is your toy ready for their new adventure?

If you can answer ‘YES’ to these questions, then your toy is ready for its next adventure with Save the Children
·      My toy is not broken.
·      Does my toy still work the way it’s meant to?
·      Have my batteries been removed?
·      Does my toy have all its parts?
·      Is my toy clean?

Not all toys are invited on this adventure, these include:
·      Toys depicting or supporting violence e.g toy guns
·      Gaming controllers
·      Ride-on toys e.g bikes, scooters, skateboards etc
·      Infant products e.g playpens, car seats, bouncy seats
·      Playdoh, kinetic sand and slime?

The toys are back and this time, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang's jobs are challenged when they come face-to-face with Lilypad (voice of Greta Lee), a brand-new tablet device that arrives with her own disruptive ideas about what is best for their kid, Bonnie. Will playtime ever be the same?
